Science and Technology Certificate Programs

Professional technology certificates can help students gain an understanding of how technology affects business and develop the skills necessary to specialize in computers or networking.

The Computer Science Program – undergraduate level enables you to obtain the basic skills and knowledge needed to pursue advanced courses toward a computer science bachelor's degree. The course work in this program also benefits you if you are already a working professional at the programmer or technician level.

The Information Technology Infrastructure Program – undergraduate level you'll prepare to fill the growing demand for professionals educated in the practical applications of information technology. Three tracks are available: network administration, database management, and system administration.

The Technical Communication Program – graduate level provides you with the ability to apply technical communication principles, analyze a project’s audience and purpose, and produce technical documents in several media that are of professional quality.

The Graduate Certificate Program in Transportation Studies is designed to help you expand your skills and qualifications in the transportation field. The program is a partnership between the Center for Transportation Studies and the Graduate School at the University of Minnesota.
