Every semester, the Liberal Studies Program offers unique seminars on a wide range of topics. These interdisciplinary seminars feature small class sizes and focus on reading, writing, and in-depth, idea-generating discussions.
In addition to these semester- long and seven- week- long seminars, we also offer one-credit “Firefly” workshops that meet for a single day to explore and address a specific topic.

Fall semester 2008 Liberal Studies and Innovation Studies seminars are listed on the U of M One Stop Class Schedule. Fall semester runs from September 2 through December 18, 2008. Registration for admitted students begins April 12. Registration for non-admitted students begins May 4.
Spring semester 2009 Liberal Studies and Innovation Studies seminars are listed on the U of M One Stop Class Schedule. Spring Semester runs from January 20 through May 16, 2009. Registration for admitted students begins November 11, 2008. Registration for non-admitted students begins December 5, 2008.
