As a registered student at the University of Minnesota, you have access to a variety of academic resources and services. Some of these are designed to help you understand University policies, and others help you choose a course, program, or career direction, and still others serve as your link to libraries and bookstores, transportation, or health services.

The University of Minnesota's One Stop system and the College of Continuing Education Catalog are always good resources.

Academic Policies

The University of Minnesota has many policies pertaining to academic work and student life. One Stop provides links to most undergraduate and graduate policies.

Students who are admitted into a University of Minnesota degree program also should consult their college office for additional policies and procedures.

Official and Unofficial Transcripts
Visit One Stop to obtain copies of your official or unofficial transcript and for related information.

Release of Student Information
Regents policy, federal law, and state law regulate release of student information to third parties. University policy regulates sharing of information within the University. See the Regents Policy on Access to and Release of Student Education Records for more information.

Holds
If you have a hold on your record, generally you may not register or, in many cases, obtain transcripts until that hold is cleared with the office imposing the hold.
