Test Prep Discounts and Policies

Discounts Options

There are two discount options:

  • University of Minnesota Employee—Full-time University of Minnesota employees will receive a 10-percent discount on courses.
  • University of Minnesota Alumni Association Member—University of Minnesota Alumni Association members will receive a 10-percent discount on courses.

You may only use one discount per course. Discounts are taken when you register. Select the appropriate discount when registering online, or by mail or fax. If registering by phone, mention your discount.

Financial Aid 

Scholarships are available for all Grad School Test Prep courses. Application deadlines are three weeks prior to course start dates.

Registraton Policy

For in-person classes, walk-in registrations will not be accepted unless previously approved by the registration office. If you come to a course and are not on the class list, you will be asked to provide your registration confirmation or you will not be able to attend the class.

Registration for an in-person class that is already in session is subject to approval by the registration office and is not guaranteed.

Cancellation Policy

If we must cancel your course because of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a 100-percent refund of your payment. All refunds will be made in the original method of payment. Courses will not be canceled due to inclement weather unless the University closes.

You may cancel in person, by fax (612-624-5359), by e-mail, or in writing to University of Minnesota, College of Continuing Education, Information Center, 20 Ruttan Hall, 1994 Buford Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55108. If you cancel your registration, refunds will be subject to the following conditions:

  • Classroom courses: Subject to a 10-percent processing fee if received five or fewer business days before the program start date. No refunds will be granted if you cancel on or after the first day of the course. No exceptions will be made to the cancellation policy except in cases of documented medical emergencies.
  • Online courses: Partial refunds are given if the cancellation request for a Grad School Test Prep online course is received within five business days of receiving your password and the URL address. All cancellations are subject to a $120 cancellation fee and a $150 course access fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after five business days.
