If your check is returned because of insufficient funds, closed account, or because you have made a stop payment request, you will be charged a check-handling fee of $20.
Because seating and course materials are limited, please register early. Course offerings are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Mailed registrations must be postmarked no later than seven working days before the date of the session you want to attend.
Payment must be received before the first day of the course in order to receive credit and materials. A letter of confirmation or e-mail will be sent upon receipt of your registration and payment.
IRS and MDOR employees: please note that your registration must be approved centrally. No on-site registrations will be accepted without prior approval. Please contact your employer for additional information.
We welcome on-site registration for an additional $25 fee. However, we cannot guarantee there will be enough space or materials available.
Cancellations or Changes
Need to cancel? Notify us at least five business days before the course start date to avoid a 10-percent processing fee. No refunds are given after the course starts. You may cancel a course registration by phone (612-624-4000), by fax (612-624-5359), by e-mail (email@example.com), or by writing to University of Minnesota, College of Continuing Education, Information Center, 20 Ruttan Hall, 1994 Buford Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55108.
If a course is cancelled by the University of Minnesota, you will receive a full refund made to the original method of payment.
If you need to transfer course locations, please e-mail your request to firstname.lastname@example.org at least six days prior to the course. If the preferred location has not filled, your request will be accommodated. Please note that last-minute registrations, or last-minute transfers, may not be received by staff on site.
Breakfast and afternoon snack will be provided at all locations. Lunch will be on your own. You are welcome to bring your lunch, but there may not be storage for refrigerated items.

Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain. Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.
