Mark Langanki has been working in the IT industry since 1989, mainly in computing as it relates to telephony, networked applications, and distributed systems. Currently he is the CTO of ConvergeOne and is leading innovation around the next model of IT and cloud services. Since 1997 he has been teaching at the University of Minnesota about operating systems, network programming, languages, and IT operations. He says: “The learning does not stop once a student graduates. IT is a very fast-paced environment that requires people to really focus on learning new things and understanding what creates value and being able to make decisions on directions for your business.” Mr. Langanki is dedicated to ensuring that students learn topics that will be 100% applicable in the tech industry, and he believes that study with the ITI program's talented working IT professionals provides a skill set that makes graduates productive on the job from day one. He has hired dozens of his former students, many of whom still work with him. Mr. Langanki holds a BS from the University of Minnesota in computer science.
