Meet the ADDC/IBH Director of Graduate Studies
We are pleased to announce that Debra Wamsley has been named Interim Director of Graduate Studies for the new Master of Professional Studies in Addictions Counseling (ADDC) program and the successful Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH). The DGS oversees the governance of these two graduate programs, leading curriculum development and review, and takes a leadership role in maintaining program quality and effectiveness. The DGS also communicates with deans and the Graduate School about program concerns.
Wamsley brings over 35 years of experience to the program as a clinician and manager in the addictions field, delivering clinical care for adolescents and adults facing substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. She completed her Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor training at the University of Minnesota and earned her master’s from St. Mary’s University.
Currently serving as Vice President and Region 10 Governor of the Minnesota Association of Resources for Recovery and Chemical Health (MARRCH), Wamsley has served on the boards of the Minnesota chapter of the National Association of Alcohol and Addictions Counselors (NAADAC) and the Minnesota Department of Human Services-Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division’s Continuum of Care Strategic Planning Committee.
