Digital Badge (generic)

The College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) offers digital badges to program participants who complete a professional development certificate program. A digital badge serves as verification of your accomplishment to employers and peers, and it shows that you have obtained the skills and knowledge associated with the certificate program.

The University of Minnesota has partnered with Credly Acclaim, a third-party digital credential service provider, to provide digital badges. Digital credentials hosted by Credly Acclaim are verified, secure, portable, and data-rich representations of demonstrated skills and earned certifications.

Learners will earn their digital badge after they complete the final course in their certificate program.

Receiving and Sharing Digital Badges

When you earn a badge you will receive an email notification from Credly with a link to collect your digital badge. Click on the link and sign in to your account to accept your badge. If you don’t have an Credly account, you will be prompted to create one.

After you have accepted your badge and created your account, you will be able to share or post your digital badge.
