Applied Psychopharmacology

This course engages students in an in-depth exploration of psychopharmacology concepts related to substance use disorders and mental health. Students delve into the intricate interplay between psychoactive medications and various psychiatric conditions. Serving as a gateway to the field, it aims to foster a higher-order understanding of the importance of psychopharmacology in the treatment of substance use disorders and mental health conditions. By emphasizing the synthesis of theoretical concepts and practical applications, students will not only gain an understanding of psychopharmacology but also develop the ability to critically analyze and assess the experiences of their clients taking prescribed psychotropic medications.
